Welcome to my web page! I have had the opportunity to be part of the West Hill community as West Hill's School Social Worker since 2006. I received my undergraduate degree in Scociology and Human Services from Simmons College in Boston and my Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University. I received my licensure in clinical social work (LCSW) in 1993.
I have been working with children and families for over 20 years in many different settings. I have had experience working in foster -care and adoption as well as in many family service agencies and child guidance clinics doing individual and family counseling as well as advocacy and casework. I have been in public schools since 2002 and began my school social work experience in a high school before coming to West Hill.
I am committed to the well being of children and their families. My goal is to support families by giving them strategies and resources so that they can better help their children to succeed in the school environment. In doing so, I provide many different things to parents and children, including school bsed counseling, classroom lessons, and consultation with teachers as well as parent education programs through out the year.
I have 2 children of my own, my son is in college and my daughter is in high School. I enjoy many outdoor activities like hiking, biking and running. I love to surrounded by beautiful scenery and have traveled to many National Parks.
